About This Site
Bungee Zone was created by a bungee jumping enthusiast named Alex Knowles in 1994, i.e. the early days of the Internet. The domain eventually expired and the site disappeared until we recovered it in March 2013 using the Internet Archive. We are working as much as possible to remove dead links or replace them with working ones, although some photos and pages are gone forever due to file corruption. We also try to add new content and post on social media whenever possible. As you can see, we pay homage to the original site by maintaining its original 1990s look, but a lot of work is done behind the scenes to keep the site running well with clean, modern code.
The site used to be hosted for free by a company called Boldfish Inc, which has since gone under, and now it is hosted commercially. If you see an ad on the site, it's to pay for the costs of the hosting.
